SYNTAX SUPPORTS NHS EFFICIENCY DRIVE
Public sector IT recruitment specialists, Syntax, have been approved by the Purchasing and Supply Authority (PASA) to place contract IT personnel into the NHS throughout the East Midlands and South Yorkshire .
The company tendered through PASA's recent E-auction and were ranked as the third preferred contract recruitment agency in the UK out of the 71 companies who applied across the contract recruitment industry.
Syntax achieved this high-ranking position by demonstrating its expertise in the field and its ability to reduce margins in line with the NHS commitment to increase efficiency.
Brian Hilliard, GP IT Support Team Leader at Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service, was pleased to hear of the award: “We have been benefiting from Syntax's Public Sector Recruitment Solutions for the past 2 years and, as our sole supplier of temporary IT staff, their success in being awarded this contract is just reward for their innovative Public Sector initiatives that have saved us £1000's over the last 18 months.”
Syntax has more than 20 years' experience in the IT recruitment industry and already supplies contract IT personnel to the NHS including;
  • NHS Direct - project managing the recruitment of temporary IT staff for the national roll out of the estates migration project
  • Derby-based Derwent Shared Services
  • Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Nottinghamshire Health Informative Services
  • Leicestershire Health Informatics Services
Colin Davey, Support Manager at Leicestershire Health Informatics Services, said: “Syntax have been supplying us with local IT temporary staff for a number of years now, and we are very pleased to hear that they have been awarded inclusion on to the NHS Framework Agreement to supply temporary IT staff. This means we can continue to receive their usual high quality of IT temporary staff whilst benefiting from the further cost reductions that the Framework Agreement offers.”
Syntax's Managing Director, Roger Frost, explained: “We are delighted to have scored so highly in the PASA E-Auction and look forward to expanding our portfolio of NHS clients throughout the East Midlands and South Yorkshire .
“As a company we are committed to working proactively with NHS organisations to offer a Best Value effective and high quality, contract recruitment service.
“NHS organisations therefore benefit from the expertise of our dedicated Public Sector IT recruitment team and our extensive network and database of candidates to match the right people with the right jobs.
“We opted to concentrate on the East Midlands and South Yorkshire areas where our team has in-depth knowledge and where a large majority of our candidates want to work.”
